| The Reporter R1 Management System |
| Easy Electronic Reporting |

No writing... no manual entries.
The Reporter R1, our Windows-based Handspring Visor Pro,
makes it easy to report your in-room bar consumption without writing, transcribing, adding, or
doing other manual entries. Using the Handspring Visor Pro hand held PC, the Reporter R1
permits data to be downloaded into your PC database using a cradle, from which any invoice, reports, etc. can be generated.
With the optional thinmodem, it is possible to send the information to a PC using any hotel telephone.
How it works:
- When the hotel's minibar attendant goes into a room to check the in-room bar, he/she selects
the room number on the Visor screen, and the menu appears. Using the scroll-down bar, the bar attendant
indicates the items consumed, by touching the screen, indicating the quantites. The information
is saved in a daily file, by room number.
- At any time when checking the in-room bars, (such as per floor, or after a certain number
of rooms), the bar attendant can transmit the information to a PC by connecting directly into
a PC or with our wireless option (DOD SR DW). This creates a database from which the bar system can be
managed.
- This system facilitates consumption reporting, and reduces the number of errors over
manual entries. The process is all done electronically. As an example, the hotel inventory
can be entered into the PC, and consumption used to automatically adjust it. Invoices of consumption
per room can be printed from the PC. The database also permits any report required by
management, such as consumption per item, per floor, per day, per week, etc.
The information can be sent directly to the customer's bill via a PMS interface.
- The Reporter R1 system can be part of the DOD SR1, or it can be operated separately,
without the DOD system.
What you get:
A specially programmed Handspring Visor Pro,
with the required software. An optional wireless option also exists (DOD R1 thinmodem).
The software required to program your menu
and room numbers in your pocket PC.

DOD SR1 Management System |
 |
| Remote Radio Frequency Door-Open-Detector System |

The DOD SR1 is the
most cost-effective in-room bar control system for hoteliers on the market. The DOD SR1
pays for itself within months through labour savings, reducing pilferage and accurate
inventory control.
How it works:
- When a minibar door is opened, an RF transmitter sends a message up to 300 feet
away and the LED light shuts off.
- Messages are captured by the receiver attached to the hand-held PC. The hand-held PC:
- sorts the information
- lists the room numbers in order
- displays the number of times the door was opened
- The hotel's bar attendant visits only the rooms where minibar doors have been opened
- usually 50% of occupied rooms. Using the menu on the hand-held PC, the bar attendant reports
product consumption. The minibars are easily reset with a coded touch key. The touch key
illuminates an LED verifying the reset was successful.
- The data can be downloaded directly to a PC using the cradle, or sent to a PC directly
via the optional wireless system (DOD SR DW) and PMS interface.
- The data file created (by date) can then be transferred into Excel. The Windows-based
system allows various reports such as total of consumption per day, consumption per item, etc.
What you get:
Lists rooms and number of times each minibar
was opened. Shows immediate, visible evidence with an LED.
Tamper-proof. A 10-digit touch key code resets the minibar.
Simple, Windows-based software, easy to operate.
6-volt power transformer, which powers the system.
Control inventory. Get reports of sales per floor/
per item/per day/per week.
Reduce errors in consumption reporting. No writing or
manual entry - entire process is done electronically.
Decrease labor costs, increase productivity. Only one
bar attendant is required for up to 300-400 rooms. Rooms with unopened minibars do not
have to be entered.
Invisible system. The DOD SR1 will not deter consumption
or impulse sales.
Options:
Direct interface for several different Hotel PMS's are also available.
NOTE:
Some types of Hotel construction have been known to cause the signal to degrade.
